How my second book goes and its origins.

It is a real journey, I know that much. Since I´ve started this project, a few years ago, I have now only 24 pages written on. The creation of a new world takes a little more than most people think. First of all the name. Phann had several different names in the past, all which I probably cannot or wont remember. Then there are the people that live in that world, the environment, the... everything. The reason I could write Phann´s Vogel in six months is because the world already existed in my mind of previous stories I wrote, and finally the one I am writing right now. Yes, this book had started way before I even thought about writing a prequel.

It all started when I was fourteen. I bought a notebook (with the image of snoopy lying on his kennel on the front cover), and I started writing. It was about a lioness named Shari, who walked all the way from Afrika to Europe, because she wanted to be human. She met a fairy whose mother was a witch that could transform Shari into a human girl. They went to school and suddenly Shari was completely human and she sort of fell in love with a boy named Ethan who was very shy. Ethan then was kidnapped and Shari and her fairy sister went looking for him and found out that he was in a parallel world which was called the Wolves Island and could only be accessed though a map, haha. After that there were vampires, and centaurs and long lost brothers of Ethan and more of that sort.

In short, the story I wrote back when I was fourteen looks very much like the story I am writing right now. Except different and much better. After that there were also stories in the same style but none of them seemed to work. I didn´t write with a storyline back then which could lead to a writers block. That´s the reason why that story was never finished. In fact, Phann´s Vogel was the first ever story that I wrote with an end to it. When writing it, I felt very excited and sometimes anxious, for writing the end. What if I couldn´t write an end to a story. But luckily I could. And it gave me new energy to rewrite the story I started writing three years ago. And I think I have got a great new beginning to the book, and I may also already know an exciting ending to it. But you all have to wait for it. because the only one who will read it are my eyes and several other selected people.

Second book.

I can officially announce that I am writing my second book. IT hasn´t got a name yet, and it hasn´t got many words either, but I can say that the world of Phann will return. Now, you may think: what the beep is Phann? A: Phann is a magical continent in a parallel world. There are no kings and queens or presidents in any of the countries, because each of the countries has a god. That´s all you got to hear of my magical world, If you want to know more, you´ll have to read my first book (Phann´s vogel) if you haven´t done it already.  But I have to disappoint you if you are a good guys lover, because only the baddies will return in this one. But don´t you worry, I have some other good characters for you. Their names are Storm and Gwyn and that´s all I got to say. the lovely Bhora.deviantart.com once made a wonderfull picture of them together:

That's my introduction to my new novel, and this time, I will try to actually bring it to a publisher. Hehe.

Bad blogger...

I realize that I am a really bad blogger... Up till now I have only worried about the looks of the page, while I should have put more effort into what I´m writing in it. But as much as I like having a personal blog, speaking my mind is still a hard thing for me to do. I wish I could tell everything that is happening in my life but there isn´t really much to tell. That´s maybe why I want to become a writer. But I sometimes wonder. Why is it, That I can tell stories about other people, but when I want to tell something about myself, I black out. I don´t know what to tell. Some people think I am a mystery, and I don´t say that´s a good thing. I just have to find myself before someone else can find out who I am... I promise I will post some more posts in the future without thinking about the lay out of the page. Even if I don´t even know who´s reading this. If there´s someone reading this... I hope I can put myself to it to post some more now one of my projects is finished.

Okay, I´ll take the red stroke I said earlier today away. I´ve replaced it for a blue one.  It fits more with the font I´ve used (same colour)

New Cover and Wallpaper

I´ve made a wallpaper and a new, improved cover for my book. not to worry, the image is still the same, but the lay out and fonts are a bit different.
This one is the new improved cover:

I like the font sooo much better! even though it is just standard windows Cambria! But with a little Hiccup, sorry, no... Marije flare. Like the thing above the V and underneath the S and the dot in the O and the D´s. That´s me. The red stroke surrounding it is also according to my plan. The little logo on the bottom is one of my old logo´s. I used to put it everywhere on my dummies and stuff. It´s kinda like my personal logo. So I thought: let´s put it on the bottom. It´s kinda like the logo Publishers put there, but I don´t have a publisher, I´m going to publish it myself. That´s why: my logo.

And I have made a wallpaper, which you can download freely if you like to. But be warned. The copyrights belong to me, all rights reserved, not for commercial use blah blah blah...

My First Short Novel

Hello all.
Well, so to day, I´ve been busy with printing and binding some of the books that I´ve written. It´s a hundred pages novel about a girl who finds a phoenix in her garden and decides to raise it. here. I´ll show you some pictures.

 

So... initially I started with a whole different cover, but it just wasn´t right for me. that´s what I thougt at least. 

 

It´s got only Carol, the girl who finds the Phoenix, and the Phoenix in it, but she is not the only main character, and so I decided to make something else. In which the three birds, the Phoenix, the owl and the raven where the main characters of the painting. the Three birds represent the three main characters: Carol, Jim and Christine. Also, Christine tells the story from her point of view. So I thought, not including her in this, is like discrimination. So I drew this on my computer:

And I started copying it onto watercolour paper. but it seemed still a bit dull, so I thougt I'd include four more characters: the main characters themselves, and the Queen of the Faeries, Florafauna. 

 

And this is what came out. I'm really glad how the colours came out, they look so livid. Someone said to me on DeviantArt that it was like an explosion, and I take that as a compliment. thanks a lot for that. I wanted to make something interesting to watch, and I think this one does the job more than the other does. Stain won't be coming out of his helworld now. I think... *Stain, or Steen in Dutch, is the god of the underworld in the world of Phann*

And that's the full cover. See I've still included Carol and the phoenix on the backside. It kind of did fitted in there, but only as small as that.
